Joseph A. Monaco, Ph.D.

In 1964, a seven-year old Joey Monaco opened his own neighborhood carnival, complete with games, prizes, food, and drinks. At the end of one day, he had turned a five dollar investment into a $42 profit, and although he had already far surpassed the two-cent lemonade stands of his peers, Joe decided to pursue a more thorough education and training experience. After gaining a B.A. in Business Management, an M.B.A. in Finance, a Ph.D. in Economics, and serving both as First Vice President of Investments / Branch Manager for UBS Financial Services and Vice President / Branch Manager for Prudential Securities, he returned again to his original calling as a business owner and founded Monaco Capital Management. As leader of the MCM team, Joe’s primary focus is developing and managing client portfolios as well as formulating the firm’s overall investment strategy. He and his wife Cheryl live in Virginia Beach and have two grown children, Jacquelyn and James.

Joe serves on the Board of Directors for numerous charitable organizations. Additionally, Joe travels the world speaking to various civic, business, charitable and religious organizations.
